The marketing agency for Microsoft Copilot partners

It's hard to think of a Microsoft product that's moved faster than Copilot. In the last year alone, it's gone from an assistant in Word and Outlook to Copilot Cowork, Agent 365, Microsoft 365 E7, usage-based billing and a completely redesigned Copilot app. We help Copilot partners work out what they actually do differently, explain it in plain English to the people signing off the budget, and turn it into campaigns that build pipeline you can measure.

Why Copilot marketing needs a specialist

At this point, almost every Microsoft partner sells Copilot in some form, and most of their websites read the same. You'll see "unlock productivity with AI", "your journey to becoming a Frontier Firm" and a readiness assessment with a slightly different name from the partner down the road. Readiness assessments are valuable, but when every partner leads with one, it stops being a reason to choose you.

Customers have moved on, too. Microsoft's own partner team has said that customers are no longer asking what AI can do. They're asking how to deploy it securely, govern it consistently, and generate measurable business outcomes. That's a very different conversation, and it needs very different marketing.

That's why we only work with Microsoft partners. We've spent more than a decade inside the ecosystem, so you won't need to explain the difference between Copilot Chat and a full Microsoft 365 Copilot licence, or why the move to usage-based billing changes how your customers budget. We already know, and that means we can spend our time on what makes your Copilot practice worth choosing.

The Copilot products and motions we help you take to market

"Copilot" now covers a whole family of products, licences and services, each with a different buyer and a different reason to act. Marketing them as one thing is where a lot of partners lose the room. We build your marketing around the motions that make up your practice.

Microsoft 365 Copilot licences - from Copilot Chat to paid seats

Most organisations already have Copilot Chat. The real challenge is moving them from "we've got the free version" to paid licences that people actually use. For smaller businesses, that conversation now includes Copilot Business and bundles like Business Premium with Copilot. For larger organisations, it's about enterprise rollouts that grow beyond a pilot group of 50 seats. We help you take that to market with:

  • Upgrade propositions that show what paid Copilot does that Copilot Chat doesn't, based on real tasks rather than a feature list
  • Role-based campaigns aimed at finance, sales, HR and operations leaders, because "productivity" means something different to each of them
  • SMB campaigns for MSPs and CSPs that make Copilot feel affordable and manageable for a 50-person business, not just a FTSE 100
  • Pilot-to-scale content that helps you turn a stalled pilot into a full rollout, which is where a lot of Copilot revenue is currently stuck

Copilot Cowork, the new Copilot app and agentic work

Microsoft's latest relaunch is a big change in how Copilot works. On 25 September, Microsoft announced a redesigned Copilot app with three areas. Home brings Chat and Cowork together, Code builds apps from plain-English descriptions and Autopilot is an agent that keeps working in the background. Most of it is still in preview, but customers are already asking about it. The commercial model is changing as well. Everyday chat stays on per-user licences, while agentic features are billed on usage, and from 1 December, new Copilot Business subscriptions bought through CSP will have usage-based billing switched on by default. That's a lot to explain, and it's a real chance for partners who can explain it well. We help you with:

  • Plain-English explainers for the new Copilot app, Cowork and agents, written for business leaders rather than IT admins
  • Cost and governance content that explains Copilot Credits, spending limits and usage-based billing, so customers aren't caught out by a surprise bill
  • Use-case campaigns built around the work agents can actually take off people's plates, like recurring reports, research, meeting follow-ups and first drafts
  • Managed service propositions for partners turning usage monitoring and cost control into an ongoing service

Microsoft 365 E7 and Agent 365 - governance at scale

As organisations move from a few experiments to dozens of agents, governance becomes the main concern. Agent 365 is Microsoft's answer to that. It's a central control plane for managing, governing and securing every agent in the business, and it comes bundled with Microsoft 365 E5, the Entra Suite and Copilot in Microsoft 365 E7, the Frontier Suite. E7 is a big-ticket, board-level conversation, and it needs marketing to match. We help you with:

  • E5 to E7 upgrade propositions that build the business case around risk, control and return on investment rather than the price per seat
  • Executive content and ABM for CIOs, CISOs and COOs, who will each have different concerns about letting agents loose
  • Governance-led messaging that positions you as the safe pair of hands, the partner who helps customers scale AI without losing control of it

Copilot Studio, custom agents and Work IQ

Out-of-the-box agents only go so far. The bigger, stickier opportunity is building custom agents that connect Copilot to a customer's own systems and processes, using Copilot Studio, connectors and Work IQ. Work IQ is the layer that grounds Copilot in each organisation's own data and context. The risk is that custom agent work gets sold as an open-ended project nobody can budget for. We help you package it properly, with:

  • Productised agent offers with a clear scope, a fixed outcome and a price buyers can approve
  • Industry agent stories for the sectors you know best, from legal and financial services to manufacturing and the public sector
  • Proof-led content like demos, short videos and worked examples that show an agent doing a real job, which is far more persuasive than a diagram

Data readiness, security and responsible AI

There's no Copilot at scale without data that's in good shape. Oversharing in SharePoint, poor labelling and loose permissions are the issues that stall most rollouts, and they're also some of the strongest door-openers a partner has. We help you market readiness as more than a box-ticking assessment, with:

  • Risk-led propositions that tie Copilot readiness to the things leadership already worries about, like data leaks, compliance and reputational risk
  • Joined-up Modern Work and Security campaigns that bring Purview, Entra and Defender into the Copilot conversation, rather than treating them as separate sales
  • Responsible AI content that gives boards and risk teams the reassurance they need before they'll sign off

Adoption, change management and managed services

Licences that nobody uses don't renew. Adoption is where a Copilot rollout either pays off or quietly fizzles out, and it's where partners can build long-term, recurring revenue through training, centres of excellence and ongoing agent management. We help you market adoption as a service in its own right, with:

  • Adoption programme propositions built around measurable usage and outcomes, not just a few training sessions
  • Customer marketing that keeps your clients up to date with a product that changes every month, so you're the partner they turn to when something new lands
  • Renewal and expansion campaigns that use real usage data to make the case for more seats and more agents

Copilot agents and apps for ISVs

If you've built an agent or app that extends Copilot, you're in one of the fastest-growing parts of Microsoft Marketplace. Microsoft is putting real investment behind this through programmes like Frontier Accelerate for Marketplace, which also means the Marketplace is getting crowded. For ISVs, we cover:

  • Product positioning and messaging that explains what your agent does in plain English and why it beats building one yourself
  • Microsoft Marketplace listings written to convert, plus co-sell assets Microsoft's sellers can actually use
  • Launch campaigns for new agents and major releases
  • Partner-to-partner programmes for ISVs that rely on CSPs and MSPs to reach end customers

Being "Customer Zero"

Partners who use Copilot well internally have the strongest stories to tell, and Microsoft agrees. The new Frontier Partner specialization, which validates agentic AI delivery capabilities, went live in September. If you've got real experience of rolling out Copilot and agents in your own business, that's some of the most credible marketing material you'll ever have. We'll help you turn it into case studies, webinars and thought leadership that prospects actually believe.

How we help Copilot partners grow

Whatever you're taking to market, the work usually comes back to five things, and you can bring us in for one of them or hand us the lot.

Plan

Positioning, ideal customer profiles and an annual marketing plan mapped to your Copilot offers and Microsoft's investment priorities for the year.

Attract

SEO, AI search, paid media, events, webinars and always-on content that puts you in front of business leaders already trying to make sense of AI.

Convert

Campaigns, ABM, email nurture and lead generation that produce qualified, co-sell-eligible pipeline rather than a pile of MQLs nobody follows up.

Enable

Sales enablement, co-sell assets, Marketplace listings and marketing into Microsoft, so Microsoft's sellers know exactly when to bring you into a deal.

Prove

Full-funnel reporting and Co-op evidence packs, so pipeline influenced and funding claimed both stand up to scrutiny.

Making Microsoft funding work for your Copilot practice

Copilot and AI are near the top of Microsoft's priority list, so there's often funding available to partners who can use it well. We scope campaigns so they're eligible for Co-op or MDF wherever the activity ties to a Microsoft solution area, and we package up the reporting you need to back up the claim (you submit the claim yourself). It's a big reason we have a 100% Co-op claim success rate.

We'd still encourage you to put some of your own budget in. Microsoft's AI priorities are changing every few months, and the Copilot partners who build the strongest reputations tend to be the ones whose marketing reflects their own point of view, not just the latest launch kit.

Why Copilot partners choose Resultful

We've spent more than 10 years inside the Microsoft ecosystem, supported 200+ partners and helped generate £100M+ in pipeline. We've also surveyed 501 Microsoft partners for our own research into how partners market, how it's funded and whether any of it can be proven, so our advice comes from evidence rather than guesswork.

We speak your language (and Microsoft's), so you won't spend weeks getting us up to speed on Work IQ, Agent 365 or the latest billing change. And because we work with partners globally, with a strong focus on the UK, Ireland and the US, we understand the transatlantic differences in how Copilot is bought, sold and funded.

Resultful truly get channel marketing. By working with a specialist agency that speaks the same language as we do (and as Microsoft does!), we can really hit the ground running.

FAQs

Frequently asked questions

How do we stand out when every partner sells Copilot?

By being specific about who you help and how. That might mean focusing on an industry, a role or a particular stage of a rollout, like readiness, custom agents or adoption. Above all, it means backing it up with proof. Generic AI messaging blends into the background, while a clear point of view stands out.

Can you help us explain usage-based billing to customers?

Yes. Copilot Credits, spending limits and the move to usage-based billing are causing a lot of confusion, and clear, honest content about cost is one of the quickest ways to build trust with a cautious buyer.

Do you work with MSPs selling Copilot to small businesses?

Yes. Much of our work is with MSPs and CSPs taking Copilot Business and Business Premium with Copilot to SMBs, where the messaging needs to be practical and the price needs to feel manageable.

Can you market custom agent and Copilot Studio services?

Yes. We help partners turn agent-building into packaged offers with a clear scope and outcome, so they're easier to buy and easier for Microsoft's sellers to recommend.

Do you work with ISVs building Copilot agents?

Yes. We help ISVs with positioning, Microsoft Marketplace listings, launch campaigns and partner-to-partner marketing.

Can Microsoft Co-op or MDF fund the work?

Often, yes. We scope activity to be eligible where it ties to a Microsoft solution area, and we provide the reporting you need for the claim.
